Ingredients 13 items
  • 4 boiled potatoes (mashed)
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 2 green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp besan (gram flour)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 cup besan + ½ cup water (for batter)
  • Super Vada Pav Buns - 4 pieces
  • Green chutney + dry garlic chutney
Instructions 8 steps
  1. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves and green chillies.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric and saute briefly.
  3. Add mashed potatoes, salt and 2 tbsp besan. Mix well.
  4. Cool the mixture and shape into round vadas.
  5. Prepare a smooth batter with besan + water + salt + pinch of soda.
  6. Dip vadas in batter and deep fry till golden brown.
  7. Slit Super Vada Pav Bun, spread green and garlic chutneys.
  8. Place hot vada inside, press lightly and serve immediately.
