15-minute dessert magic! Quick rasmalai using fresh Super White Bread soaked in saffron-cardamom milk - tastes like the real thing.

Ingredients 7 items
  • 6 slices Super White Bread (crust removed, cut into discs)
  • 1 litre full-fat milk
  • ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • A pinch of saffron strands
  • 2 tbsp chopped pistachios + almonds
  • 1 tsp rose water (optional)
Instructions 7 steps
  1. Heat milk in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add sugar, saffron and cardamom.
  2. Simmer for 8-10 minutes till milk thickens slightly.
  3. Cut bread slices into round discs (use a glass or cutter).
  4. Place bread discs in serving bowls.
  5. Pour warm sweetened milk over them. Let bread soak for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped pistachios, almonds and a drop of rose water.
  7. Chill for 30 minutes for best taste. Serve cold.
