Club Sandwich Recipe
Description
A classic triple-decker club sandwich with veggies, cheese and chutneys. Quick to assemble, perfect for tiffin or party platters using soft Super White Bread.
Ingredients 12 items
- 6 slices Super White Bread (or Crustless Big Slice)
- 4 tbsp butter (room temperature)
- 4 tbsp green chutney
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 boiled potato (sliced)
- 1 tomato (sliced)
- 1 cucumber (sliced)
- 1 onion (sliced into rings)
- 2 slices cheese
- Lettuce leaves
- Salt & pepper
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Instructions 8 steps
- Toast all 6 bread slices lightly on a tawa or toaster.
- Butter all slices on one side, then spread green chutney.
- On 1st slice: place potato slices, salt + pepper, then a cheese slice.
- Cover with 2nd slice (chutney-side down). Spread mayo on top.
- Layer: tomato, cucumber, onion rings, lettuce.
- Cover with 3rd slice (chutney-side down). Press gently.
- Trim crust if desired. Slice diagonally into 4 triangles.
- Skewer each triangle with a toothpick. Serve with ketchup.
