Kutchi Dabeli Recipe
Description
Sweet-spicy Gujarati street food - dabeli stuffing packed with peanuts, pomegranate and special dabeli masala in soft Super Pav.
Ingredients 9 items
- 6 Super Pav
- 4 boiled potatoes (mashed)
- 2 tbsp dabeli masala
- 2 tbsp sweet tamarind chutney
- ½ cup peanut masala (roasted peanuts + spices)
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds
- 1 onion (chopped)
- Sev (fine), Fresh coriander
- Butter for toasting
Instructions 6 steps
- Heat 1 tbsp butter, add dabeli masala and tamarind chutney. Saute briefly.
- Add mashed potatoes, mix well and cook 2 minutes.
- Slit pav buns. Stuff with hot potato mix.
- Top stuffing with peanut masala, pomegranate, onion, sev and coriander.
- Toast stuffed pav on a buttered tawa till crisp outside.
- Serve hot with extra sev sprinkled on top.
